September 2010 Monthly Horoscope Forecast

You’re going to learn something new in September, Capricorn. Some of what you learn may change your direction, your beliefs, or your long-term plans. Exciting possibilities may develop through travel, long distance issues, publishing, education, legal matters, and spiritual growth. You should expect increased insight this month, through research, study, a new series of books or you may gain greater insight from someone else.
The new moon Sept. 8 also falls in your 9th house. Capricorn’s born within 5 days of Jan. 6 will notice this fresh energy most. You have two weeks beginning at this new moon to take the first step toward your 9th house objectives. By the time you reach the September full moon, you will be well on your way to achieving your goals.
You may be traveling in September. If this is you, you will travel far from where you live now. You may meet or mingle with people from different cultures or someone may travel long distance to be with you. It’s possible for some that you are traveling or taking classes because of your career.
School is back in session, therefore you may be focusing on your new schedule or you may be interested in taking a semester abroad. With Mercury retrograde in this sector it may be challenging getting the classes you want or financial aide might be delayed.
You may start a blog or website. This is excellent month to be a part of a religious function, to connect with people that share your visions, and to promote yourself through publishing or broadcasting activities.
You may consider sending out your resume in September. With Venus in your career until Sept. 8, you still have a week to see the results! However, a new career or job change may only be temporary.
Legal contacts or the justice system may be significant for you. This may concern citizenship, family in a foreign country, or a current housing issue.
Mercury is retrograde in your 9th house. This retrograde may throw a monkey wrench into travel plans or you could change your mind about a long distance matter. A legal matter could be delayed. Mercury resumes its forward motion Sept. 12 ending a period of delays, adjustments, and possible transportation or communication errors.
Mercury retrogrades August 20—Sept. 12. Mercury slows its orbit during this phase so you may notice some confusion. This Mercury retrograde makes no stressful aspects to planets in your solar chart which may be favorable for you. That being said, you could experience some aggravation during this time.
Mercury governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You can expect these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation may be delayed or complicated, and ideas are asked to be reconsidered. Make yourself clear, read the fine print and do what you can to avoid miscommunication. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on your valuables and important documents. I’ve lost a credit card during Mercury retrograde and my car keys during another retrograde! This is not a time to make important or expensive purchases. You may not use them or they may be flawed. The store shelves may be full of “not so great deals” now. Computers, phones, mail, fax machines, transportation and/or appliances may be annoying or fail to perform properly.
The weeks of Mercury retrograde might cause delays or obstacles, but it’s the best time for increasing your knowledge and bringing important details to your attention, which could be problematic at a later date.
This is not a time to sign papers or make verbal agreements, unless this is something you’ve already had in the works. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, re-do, renew, research and re-evaluate. Allow a few days after Mercury turns direct before you proceed with any new ideas, major purchases, contracts or important decisions.
Venus transits your 10th house of career, reputation, and public standing until Sept. 8. This can be a satisfying time for career progress and in may increase possibilities for pay raises, bonuses, or gifts from employers or office personnel. Bosses, supervisors, parents, or teachers may seem more appreciative of you. This is a beneficial transit for the creative arts, entertainment industry, or customer relations. That being said, the end of the month (Sept. 30) may bring a disappointment at work.
On Sept. 8, Venus glides into your 11th house of friends, groups, and extended family. Mars enters this social sector Sept. 14. Your career, your partner’s career, or something you are working on may be tied to working with a group of people. This may relate to volunteer efforts, a charity, or humanitarian themes. Friends and associates seem willing to help you advance your goals now. The people that love you may be more sensitive to your needs now. This is an important time for you to socialize and network because next month Venus slips into the most isolated part of your chart.
Pluto changes directions and moves forward in your sign from Sept. 13—April 2011. If your birthday falls before Dec. 27, you will be feeling Pluto’s transformative energy in the months ahead.
If your birthday falls after Dec. 27, you will be influenced most beginning Jan. 2011. However, that’s not to say you won’t be experiencing this heavy hitter planet now or in the coming months. You may have planets in the other cardinal signs of your chart that will receive Pluto’s energy. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. All of these signs are known as self-starters of the zodiac.
This Pluto transit will conjunct your sun in Capricorn. This means Pluto will pass right over the most personal and vital parts of who you are. This is a powerful transit and one that you will never experience again in your lifetime. Your experiences will reshape who you are. You may not go through all of what I mention here, but you will probably look back at your life and see that you did have similar experiences. You may become interested in Life and Death issues, metaphysics, occult sciences, psychology or the healing arts. Your psychic perceptions may be strong. Issues of power and control may occur in your relationships. This transit can cause deep emotional changes or fear of loss. Your domestic situation may be altered. Elements of your life that you have kept hidden may surface. These are the types of experiences that cause deep transformations within us. Your personality will change although this will probably happen gradually. You will have the power to be a positive or negative force in your relationships, Capricorn. You become the Phoenix rising up from the ashes reborn anew.
The sun enters your 10th house of career, reputation, parenting, and authority figures on Sept. 22. While Venus may have helped out in your career, now career, personal achievements, or parenting demands your attention. You won’t be able to cut corners for the next four weeks for you will be working hard to achieve your goals. If this transit does not reflect what is going on in your life, it may point to a partner or important male figure.
The full moon Sept. 23 calls your attention to a home or family matter. If your birthday falls within 5 days of Dec. 22, you will be influenced more than others in your sign. With so much career activity and a full moon at the bottom of your chart, it is possible that some Capricorns will be retiring now or certain aspects of their job may be ending. The full moon may be pointing to an important domestic concern. A word of caution if you are buying or selling your home: Jupiter is in a weak position because it has back-tracked into your 3rd house of agreements. You’ll want a strong Jupiter when dealing with real estate. Avoid impulsive decisions now, especially within a few days on either side of the full moon.
