September 2010 Monthly Horoscope Forecast

September starts out with a continued emphasis of the 12th house in your solar chart. It’s not unusual to feel tired or run down when the sun transits this sector because astrologically, the sun is behind you now. The month before your birthday is time to rest, relax, and let go of the things that trouble you. This is also a good time for you to have a health check-up, seek counseling if you need to, or share your feelings with a friend. There may be something in your life ending this month. This might regard a relationship with a friend or co-worker, your role in a group, or something about your daily routine. Meditate, eat right, and take good care of yourself.
The new moon Sept. 8 will add further emphasis to your 12th house. Libras born within 5 days of Oct. 9 will notice this most. You have two weeks to begin anew, although the first week is most powerful. If you have a project that requires quiet and/or time for research, you’ll have the space you need now. If you have a health issue that is troubling you, you may find a specialist that will help you on the healing path. Some Libras may find the new moon helping to resolve a situation going on at work. A career related contract may begin or you may make an important decision regarding employment. You may be helping someone who is confined to home or hospital. Or you may have to sacrifice your time for someone in need.
Mercury is retrograde in your 12th house. This retrograde may bring back a legal, long distance, or education concern. You could hear a secret from a friend or an old friend may call on you for help. Stay in touch with family that can’t come to you. If you are considering a job change, this would be a good month to call on an old employer or someone you know who could help you get your foot in the door. This is an important retrograde for defining what you want for your future, Libra, even if it means leaving something familiar behind.
Mercury retrogrades August 20—Sept. 12. Mercury slows its orbit during this phase so you may notice some confusion. This Mercury retrograde makes no stressful aspects to planets in your solar chart which may be favorable for you. That being said, you could experience some aggravation during this time.
Mercury governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You can expect these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation may be delayed or complicated, and ideas are asked to be reconsidered. Make yourself clear, read the fine print and do what you can to avoid miscommunication. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on your valuables and important documents. I’ve lost a credit card during Mercury retrograde and my car keys during another retrograde! This is not a time to make important or expensive purchases. You may not use them or they may be flawed. The store shelves may be full of “not so great deals” now. Computers, phones, mail, fax machines, transportation and/or appliances may be annoying or fail to perform properly.
The weeks of Mercury retrograde might cause delays or obstacles, but it’s the best time for increasing your knowledge and bringing important details to your attention, which could be problematic at a later date.
This is not a time to sign papers or make verbal agreements, unless this is something you’ve already had in the works. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, re-do, renew, research and re-evaluate. Allow a few days after Mercury turns direct before you proceed with any new ideas, major purchases, contracts or important decisions.
Venus transits Libra, your first house, until Sept. 8. If you’re single, you’ll want to get out in a social setting because people are going to find you more attractive. Your tastes for rich foods and entertainment may be greater now. People are kinder and friendly as this is the kind of energy you exude. You may have a strong desire for love and affection now. This would be a good transit to try a new haircut or to add something sexy to your wardrobe. Normally I would suggest having minor cosmetic procedure, but Mercury is Retrograde so you wouldn’t want a misunderstanding!
On Sept. 8, Venus glides into your 2nd house of money, material possessions, and values. Venus will retrograde in October; as a result Venus will spend the rest of the year in your income sector. Mars enters your 2nd house of income on Sept. 14. Venus can help to attract more money to you, but Mars can cause one to spend more. Your desire to earn more may be strong, but your expenses could increase for family, property, entertainment, or children. Your partner’s income may be affected later in September which may mean you’ll have more financial responsibilities.
Pluto changes directions in your 4th house of home, family, and property Sept. 13—April 2011. This means that early Libra’s with birthdays before Sept. 29 will be feeling Pluto’s transformative energy in the months ahead.
If your birthday falls after Sept. 29, you will be influenced most beginning Jan. 2011. However, that’s not to say you won’t be experiencing this heavy hitter planet now or in the coming months. You may have planets in the other cardinal signs of your chart that will receive Pluto’s energy. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. All of these signs are known as self-starters of the zodiac.
This Pluto transit will square your Libra sun in 2010. The square is the most difficult aspect, one that calls on you to overcome challenges. Pluto will affect your home or domestic conditions. Pluto can cause impulsive, controlling, or obsessive behavior. Jealousy could be a problem. It could help to uncover hidden secrets, about family, property, or an inheritance. Pluto can uncover buried hurts within yourself or within your family. Your family, property, or home could be transformed drastically. With all of the possible challenges I’ve mentioned here, the adjustments you will go through may be helpful for setting down roots, building a family for yourself or for taking control of your own life.

This month, within a day or two of your birthday, is the official start of your astrological new year. This happens when the sun returns to the exact position it holds in your birth chart. This is called your Solar Return and it covers your year ahead, but it begins three months before your birthday and is in effect for three months following your next birthday. The process is complete, now you move back out into the world with new circumstances and experience ready for you. Let go of the old and make room for new experiences to unfold.
The full moon Sept. 23 calls your attention to your 7th house of one-on-one relationships, business partners, contracts, and adversaries. The full moon will influence Libra’s born within 5 days of Sept. 23 most. Within three days on either side of the full moon you may be put in a position to defend yourself. Something unexpected may unfold that requires you to take quick action. For some Libras this may concern a domestic or property contract. For others it may regard a partnership. This could be an emotional time. Finances may be an important theme for you. A business or career contract may be relevant. A female, such as a partner, mother, or boss could be the subject of this full moon.
