November 2009 Monthly Horoscope Forecast

SCORPIO

Oct. 24th - Nov. 22nd

Synopsis:
Your private life is in a bit of a mess most of the month, but things calm down at the end of the month. You might just be stressed out preparing the house for holiday guests or it could be something big like a mortgage problem. Luckily, you have some wonderful professional and financial energies coming to help and you are enjoying even more personal power than usual. The really good news is that you are strongly encouraged to follow your bliss, fall in love, have fun, and commit yourself to being happy.

Extended Horoscope

Continuing Trends:
From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash. This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered. This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important. Saturn is leaving your social networking sector and is moving into your mental health, secrets, and bureaucracies sector. From this new location, he will be trying to teach you some life lessons about your attitude, spiritual beliefs, emotional well-being, and/or dealing with bureaucracies and other hidden forces working behind the scenes. Pluto is trying to add personal power, enlightenment, profits, and sex appeal to your interpersonal communications, intellect, commercial activities, and community relationships. With these two titans clashing, you could find your psychological well-being and your local community are in a major upheaval. Neighbors, extended family, siblings, and people in your local community are driving you crazy. They are needy, nosy, demanding, judgmental, and/or secretive. They are poking their noses into your personal life or they are expecting you to resolve all of their dramas and petty bickering. You could feel like hiding from these people, but they will ferret you out. You could also find that hospitals, prisons, large corporations, government agencies, institutions, and other bureaucratic organizations are part of the drama that is upsetting everyone so much. Sales, negotiations, and other interactions with various bureaucrats are especially challenged over the next few months.

From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing. Mars is in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputations, and success sector. The sun is still in Scorpio and your “me” sector. You and a father figure, boss, or some other authority figure are not seeing eye-to-eye. Since Mars is involved, it is probably a male or a dominating female is giving you a hard time about your public reputation, goals, or a perceived lack of professionalism. It is also possible that you are the one that you are battling with. You could be upset about your leadership style, your inability to raise your own profile, or with a lack of progress in your career. Rather than beat yourself up or get angry with your boss, you need to step back and evaluate the situation. Is there something you can do to promote your objectives? Could you benefit from a bit of a “professionalism refresher course” so to speak? Or maybe you just need to learn how to deal with your boss’ ego and figure out how to get him to see things your way without alienating him.

From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your eleventh house to enter Libra and your twelfth house. He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your eleventh house from April 8th through July 20th. After that, he will stay in Libra and your twelfth house for the next couple of years. For Scorpio, hosting Saturn in your twelfth house of mental health, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and hidden forces that work behind the scenes could be difficult. Whenever Saturn travels through someone’s twelfth house, there is an increased chance for depression and dark brooding. Part of this is because Saturn forces us to face the reality of our attitudes, our self-defeating behaviors, our addictions, skeletons in our closets, self-destructiveness, and how sometimes life just is not fair. Bureaucracies, red tape, stupid policies, and such can cause us all kinds of problems and it is very difficult to create smart simple solutions to these problems. Life lessons involving these topics can feel hopeless and as if there is no point in even trying to overcome them. It is not unusual for people with Saturn in the twelfth house to become suicidal or to at least withdraw from “reality” as best they can. The desire to avoid feeling bad is a very powerful motivator in all of us, so it is not surprising that suicide, drugs, alcohol, and other escapist tendencies become more appealing. Jupiter will be traveling through your “private life” sector and “happiness” sector, so he should be able to bring balance to the situation so that you are not overly gloomy and depressed. Saturn’s goal is to make you stronger and more emotionally and psychologically resilient, so take this as a challenge and not as a sentence to spend the next couple of years in doom and gloom.

From October 31st through November 5th, Venus begins working with Neptune. Together, these two like to create romance, love, compassion, charities, and the fine arts. They are dreamy, sexy, and into a spiritual mystical kind of romance. Financially, they create a generous, intuitive, and/or philanthropic approach to wealth. They are currently blending your mental health, spirituality, and bureaucracy sector and your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector. This is more of that lovely energy promoting safety, security, harmony, love, compassion, and inner peace within your private life. You could be feeling quite charitable towards your parents or roommates, and could really enjoy redecorating or working on home improvement projects that not only make your home more visually appealing but also more emotionally soothing. You could also finally find that fair and compassionate compromise you have wanted from mortgage companies, corporate landlords, and/or other real estate bureaucrats. This is a “happy home life” energy.

New Developments:
November 2nd hosts a full moon in your marriage, best friend, business partner, and rivals (think yin-yang) sector. Full moons are for endings, closure, and grand finales. This one is harshly affected by Mars in your leadership and success sector. Mercury is teaming up with the sun in your “me” sector. This will most likely show up as an ending to a professional partnership. The two of you do not agree on the direction your careers should take, how to publicize your partnership, and/or how much time and energy to place on trying to succeed. You could also find that a rivalry finally ends and your career or public reputation is negatively affected by the outcome. It is possible that a romantic or social partnership could end because of your career or because of your public reputation, but it is more likely to be a professional partnership that is affected by this particular set of circumstances.

From November 7th through the 10th, Venus takes her turn working with Pluto. Venus is moving into Scorpio and your “me” sector. Pluto is still in your interpersonal communications, commercial activities, and local community sector. These are the two planets in charge of all forms of seduction and wealth. Therefore, this is a great time for business deals, contract negotiations, sales proposals, bargain hunting, and other commercial activities. You are more persuasive than usual and you have a better than normal chance of coming out financially ahead. This is also a great time for romantic conversations, written and verbal projects, and in-depth conversations. You could also find that this is a lovely time for dealing with neighbors, family, community members, and other “clansmen”.

From November 7th through the 13th, the sun is in Scorpio and your “me” sector and is clashing with Jupiter in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, security, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector. Landscaping, home improvements, remodeling, redecorating, and other home-related projects could be driving you crazy. You could also be struggling with real estate deals, mortgage or lease negotiations, and/or retirement planning. Your parents could be the source of your stress too. Maybe they are nagging at you or they are in need of your help at this time. Whatever the “home” problem that has you so upset, you can expect it to be quite a big deal. The sun, Mercury, and Venus all three will pass through here triggering this battle with Jupiter and then they will all three battle with Neptune who is also in your “home” sector. So, watch for an ongoing struggle. Until the 9th, Mercury will be adding an argumentative energy to this problem. It could be as small as getting the house fixed up for holiday guests coming to visit, or as big as a mortgage crisis. Either way, it will annoy you throughout most of this month.

From November 9th through the 13th, Mercury and Uranus are working quite nicely together. These are the two planets in charge of genius, intellect, independence, and spontaneity. They are combining your “me” sector with your personal pleasure, romance, lovers, playtime, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, luxury, and happiness sector together in a smart, fun, and charming way. This is an excellent time for you to make love, write stories, play music, act, laugh, sing, dance, lose yourself in hobbies, play with pets and children, enjoy luxury items, fine dining, and anything else that brings great joy into your life. Those of you working in “happiness” industries (vacations, theater, music, pet care, sports, etc) could find this is an excellent time for getting the word out about your business, for brainstorming creative new ideas, and/or for simply having a good time enjoying the work you do while bringing happiness into the lives of your customers and clients. The sun, Venus, and eventually Mars still have to pass through here, so you will have more of this lovely energy in the future. With Mercury, you can begin the planning, negotiations, and goal setting portion of any networking goals you might have.

From November 10th through the 13th, Mercury begins battling Neptune the same way he just did with Jupiter. When Mercury and Neptune battle, we often find lies, deceit, gullibility, negative self-talk, escapism, and/or hidden agendas are a key factor in the drama that unfolds. This is not a good time for negotiating real estate deals, hiring contractors, or for arguing with your parents or roommates. Things are not as they seem. It does not necessarily mean that the other person is intentionally trying to mess with you, they could simply be mistaken and things will not turn out the way that they think it will.

From November 11th through the 18th, the sun begins working with Uranus the same way Mercury is. This prolongs your ability to blend “me” and “happiness” energies in a positive and fun way. Your love life, hobbies, creative pursuits, and other “happiness” activities are blessed with more smart, playful, and entertaining energy.

From November 13th through the 18th, the sun battles with Neptune the way that Mercury just did. Once again, you could find lies, secrets, gullibility, bureaucracy, and/or “fogginess” is creating issues between you and your parents or roommates. It is also possible that real estate deals, home-based businesses, home-focused businesses, and/or retirement planning is causing you quite a bit of stress at this time.

November 16th hosts a new moon in Scorpio. This is a great time for launching new beginnings and fresh starts in all areas of your life. Each year, when the new moon occurs in your zodiac sign, you are encouraged to meditate, pray, visualize, etc what it is that you would like to attract into your life over the next year. Make your cosmic birthday wish. Then work to help make that dream come true over the coming year. Neptune is still clashing with the sun and causing home-related issues to shadow this fresh start in your life. However, Uranus is still working wonderfully with the sun and encouraging you to blend your “me” sector with your “happiness” sector in fun, charming, and lucrative way. So, make a wish about something that will bring great happiness into your life. Happy Birthday, Scorpio!

From November 16th through the 18th, Mercury is working with Saturn. Saturn is in your mental health, self-destruction, attitudes, intuition, spiritual mysteries, charities, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector. Mercury is moving into your personal wealth and self-worth sector. Financially, this is a great time to work with charities, corporations, hospitals, prisons, institutions, and other bureaucracies. Those of you working in these types of organizations and those of you working in mental health, addiction recovery, and/or spiritual industries could find this is a profitable time for you. This is also a lovely time for making sure that your subconscious is in alignment with your financial goals so that you are not sabotaging your own success. This could also be a great time for building self-confidence and quieting the inner-critic by working through old psychological issues and letting go of old attitudes that no longer serve you. The sun and Venus will pass through here too, so you can expect to see more of this lovely energy in the coming weeks.

From November 16th through the 22nd, Venus and Mars are not getting along. These are the cosmic lovers of the universe, so when they fight it can be like an old married couple. Mars is still in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and success sector and Venus is in Scorpio and your “me” sector. Once again, you and a boss or authority figure are not seeing eye-to-eye. Or you are upset about the direction your career or public reputation is heading in. Or you are simply frustrated because it is taking so much hard work to advance your career at this time.

From November 21st through the 26th, Venus and Jupiter are recreating the issues between you and a parent, roommate, real estate deal, and/or home-related project. Landscaping, remodeling, home-repairs, mortgages, rental contracts, houseguests, roommates, parents, and/or home-based businesses are causing problems again.

From November 23rd through the 26th, the sun and Saturn get along quite nicely. Like Mercury a few days ago, the sun is helping you to continue working with mental health, spiritual, and/or bureaucratic organizations to increase your net worth and/or your self-worth.

From November 23rd through the 28th, Venus and Uranus work together to create more of that delightful energy blending your “me” and “happiness” sectors together. Once again, this is an excellent time for following your bliss and for working in “happiness” industries. Those of you that are single could find this is a great time for experiencing “love at first sight” and those of you that are already in relationships could find this is an excellent time to surprise your sweetheart with romantic, fun, and playful activities. This is excellent “date night” energy.

From November 23rd through the 29th, Mercury and Mars are getting along wonderfully. Mars is working hard to boost your leadership and success sector and Mercury is bringing intellect, communications skills, and fresh ideas into your personal wealth and self-worth sector. Together, they help you work on your professional and financial goals. This is a smart, creative, upbeat, and hard working energy.

From November 25th through the 29th, Venus battles Neptune. Once again, lies, deceit, manipulation, and/or secret agendas could be the cause of problems with you and your parents, roommates, retirement planning, and/or housing issues. Luckily, this is the last planet to pass through here so this reoccurring problem should finally work itself out.

From November 27th through December 17th, Mars opposes Jupiter. Last summer, Mercury, the sun, and Venus passed through here and created an ugly opposition between your “home” sector and your “success” sector. Mars is just now getting ready to catch up and will re-trigger various events that you have already dealt with in the past. First, he opposes Jupiter (and then Neptune). This creates a private life versus public life, mother versus father, career versus family, and/or retirement versus job promotion battle. Your career and public life is full of all kinds of excitement, but things at home are demanding your attention. This tug-of-war is usually hardest on working mothers, but can be tough on everyone involved. It is also possible that something in your private life is causing you to come across as unprofessional at work. Since it is the holiday season, you could simply be struggling with the normal stresses of preparing for family gatherings and keeping up with your career.

From November 28th through the 30th, Mercury begins working with Jupiter. Mercury and Mars are already getting along blending your personal wealth sector and your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and success sector together in a smart and profitable manner. Now, Mercury is also working with Jupiter in your “home” sector to add more compromise, negotiations, and intelligence to your financial and residential activities. With Mercury’s help between the two opposing forces (work versus home), you are able to negotiate with both sides. You could be earning overtime, bigger salaries, and/or acquiring assets that help to ease the stress at home. Throwing money at the problem seems to help. It is also possible that you are feeling more confident and that gives you more negotiating power than you might normally have.

From November 30th through December 2nd, Mercury moves on to work with Neptune. This is your “wealth” sector blending nicely with your “home” sector. With Jupiter, it was about more money, more confidence, more assets, etc. However, with Neptune, the focus changes to more of a compassionate and intuitive energy. This is a lovely time for you and your parents, roommates, realtor, contractor, landscaper, etc to find common ground, negotiate, and compromise. You could finally find that you finally in a position to be more charitable and compassionate. You are also more persuasive than normal, so that helps too.

October 2009 Horoscope

Your monthly horoscope follows this main text for all signs.

For the last two and a half years we have all been asked to adapt to new situations in some area of our lives as Saturn transited Virgo. This transit began in Sept. 2007. We have all had to establish more order; schedules have been influenced, along with employment and/or health care issues that have been in the spotlight for many. Serving something or someone other than ourselves meant we had to remain flexible in the face of change. Adjusting to new circumstances may have been challenging, worrisome, or burdensome as Saturn tested our strengths and weaknesses.

This month will set the stage for a new trend which we will all experience at some level. On Oct. 29, 2009, Saturn, the “Taskmaster”, the planet of old age (Father Time), hard work, and determined effort will enter Libra for the first time since Sept. 1980—Aug. 1983. Think back, if you’re old enough, to what significant events happened in your life during those years because similar themes may develop during this transit.

Saturn will retrograde at 4° Libra on Jan. 13, 2010, and re-enter Virgo in April 2010. During the retrograde phase, Saturn will remind you of the commitments and decisions you are making right now. Saturn will station direct at 28° Virgo May 30, 2010, finishing up its final trek through Virgo on July 21of next year and will not re-enter Virgo again until 2036. From October through January 2010 we will get a hint of what this Saturn in Libra transit will be like, especially for those that have planets 0-5 degrees in their charts.

The Cardinal signs, or people with planets 0-5 degrees in Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, will experience Saturn almost immediately. In addition, the Cancer/Capricorn eclipse in December and the eclipses next year will influence these signs so there are sure to be dramatic changes for the Cardinal signs and for those with planets within them.

Saturn’s transit through Libra until Oct. 2012 will give each of us enough time to grow from this planets influence. Saturn is exalted in Libra, meaning Saturn holds Libra in high regard and works well in this sign. Libra is a relationship sign; a sign concerned with equality, fairness, justice, and beauty. Creating balance in our relationships will be of fundamental importance, as will how we relate to others. We will learn to compromise, weigh both sides of the coin, and treat others as we want to be treated.

There will be challenges on the way where we are held responsible for our actions, or we will weed out what doesn’t promote progress in our lives and in our relationships. All relationships will be influenced, from marriage and family, those who you do business with on a daily basis, and to those that oppose you. Relationships are our reflections—what we give out, we receive in return. Saturn will remind you of that fact. Saturn will ask you to accept certain boundaries and when you do this graciously, you will be compensated. Saturn always leaves you a gift after it leaves a sign. Usually that gift is one of strength and stability because Saturn’s job always builds a firm foundation in the area it is transiting. Sometimes the reward hits you like a revelation when you look back on the last 2 ½ years because Saturn’s lessons are always slow, and always deliberate.

Scorpio,

The sun is transiting the last house of your horoscope; this is the time to get away from the crowd, to rest and rejuvenate, and take care of yourself. If you’re tired, feeling under the weather, or lack energy, this will change in the weeks ahead. If you have work that needs steady concentration, find a quiet place as you’ll get more accomplished working alone. Spiritual growth is highlighted and health care will be important. Soon the sun will enter your sign and you will begin a new year-long cycle.

Full moon in Aries on Oct. 4 falls in your 6th house of health, service, and daily routines. If your birthday falls within 5 days of Nov. 4 you will feel this full moon most. This full moon may coincide with the culmination of a recent health concern—for yourself, a female, or for your pet. You could hear results from a medical test, a surgical procedure may be required, or you might be feeling ill. Full moons falling on your health axis can lower your resistance so you’ll need to take extra precautions this month. This full moon may concern your parent or your significant other. If health is not influenced, employment concerns may arise. This may be the time you wrap up a big project. If you employ someone, this full moon may prompt decisions about how to continue along this route. In addition, this full moon may call your attention to a service you provide. Decisions concerning health insurance or employment grievances could be resolved. Travel may be necessary for health or employment reasons.

Mercury enters your 12th house on Oct. 9/10 (depending on your location) and Venus follows Oct. 14th. At the start of October, these planets of relating and beauty have been at a difficult alignment to Pluto, your ruler. Friends may have been in short supply, your ambitions may seem thwarted, or your activity within a group of like minded individuals may have brought more stress than reward. Now you will go within and weed out what doesn’t work and promote progress in your life. Venus and Mercury transiting this sector may encourage you to share your feelings. This would be a good transit for you to talk to a health care provider. This transit may stimulate the desire to help someone who is feeling blue, just be careful that you don’t take on their problems. Your intuition may be sharper now so listen to your inner voice.

Mars enters your 10th house of career and reputation on Oct. 16 for an unusually long transit. Mars will transit Leo until June 6, 2010—almost 8 months! This transit will not only stimulate your desire to be successful, but you could also act as a role model for others. Your desire to gain recognition will be strong and your creativity will be at an all time high so you’ll probably develop a constructive plan to help you reach the top of your game. Mars rules over your health sector so you should be careful not to over work yourself or accidents and inflammations could become a problem. If you are not employed, this transit could cause upsets with authority types (teachers, parents, police, etc.). You could make a name for yourself in your community, among your peers, or be placed in a leadership type position. If you are working, your employer may expect you to produce more now or you may be putting in extra hours at work. If you need overtime, you’re probably going to get it.

The new moon Oct. 18 falls in your 12th house of rest, secrets, and behind the scenes activities. New moons offer you a two week opportunity to start fresh, although the first week is always more powerful. Scorpio’s born within 5 days of Nov. 17 will notice this influence most. The new moon will bring you the opportunity to start a project that requires working behind the scenes. Your family will support you or you may begin this project from home. This new moon may relate to something about your home or family situation ending, while something new unfolds. The new moon may concern a health or hospitalization matter. You may spend more time getting check ups and dental work, or someone dear to you may receive a clean bill of health. If you have a troubling health matter you may look for a new healthcare provider.

The sun enters your sign Oct. 23 this year and Mercury follows Oct. 28. If the first part of the month left you feeling low on energy, this transit will put the pep back in your step as you may have more energy now. The sun can put you in the spotlight so make sure you have the ability to fulfill what’s asked of you. You may feel more driven to see your efforts bear fruit and your need to express yourself will be strong. Relationships will be highlighted and your creative energy may be easier to express. This is your time to focus on what you would like to accomplish in the months ahead.

This is also Solar Return time—your astrological new year is taking shape. The Solar Return chart for the day that the sun returns to its natal placement will tell you about what themes will be around for the next year. This is an important technique used in predictive astrology. You may want to consider investing in yourself and a Solar Return report from Horoscopes Within. You’ll also receive your personal Lunar Return horoscope to help guide you through the month ahead. Your birth chart is included with most orders.

Saturn enters Libra, your 12 house of renewal, isolation, spirituality, and completion on Oct. 29. A 12th house Saturn transit represents letting go of parts of your life so that you’re ready when Saturn enters your sign. The areas of your life that have lasting value will remain with you, the issues that don’t promote personal progress will not. You may leave friends behind because you are not moving in the same direction. Careers could change in order for you to find more balance or happiness. Your domestic situation could change because of relocation or someone leaving home. I left my job, sold my home, and moved my children 650 miles to start a new life when I remarried during a 12th house Saturn transit. Good things can happen during this transit, but old chapters of our lives must be closed to give way to new ones unfolding.

It’s not uncommon to spend more time alone, even for a social butterfly. Too much isolation can cause feelings of depression, fear, or guilt. If you do experience any psychological issue you should talk to your doctor or seek counseling.

Saturn has rulership of your 3rd house of relating. Your ideas, opinions, and attitudes will probably differ from the ones you have now by the time you are finished with this introspective transit. You will reflect on your life and envision what you need to do in order to create the life you desire.

Enjoy your month!

September 2009 Monthly Horoscope

After devoting a full month to your career and personal achievements, Scorpio will take time for friendships and socializing in September. When Mercury returns to this sector on Sept. 19, you may have the chance to reconnect with an old friend. Until then, you turn your attention to your friendships, to people that share your visions, and in-laws or extended family. This is an important transit for you to define your goals and to work cooperatively within a group. This is not a time for you to be alone. It’s time to socialize and network because you’ll go further with the help of others.

The full moon Sept. 4 in your 5th house calls your attention to a romantic relationship, a child, a creative effort, or a social event. A creative endeavor that involves a group of individuals may be finalized now. This full moon may concern something made public, your creative energies, gambling, investing, long distance matters or travel.

Alternatively, this full moon could point to a special occasion such as a wedding, the birth of a child, or a party. You may feel sensitive or more emotional by what develops. For some, a secret may be revealed. Scorpio’s born within 5 days of Nov. 5 will be influenced most by this full moon.

Mercury will be retrograde Sept 6 – Sept 29. Mercury is the planet that governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You should expect any of these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation is delayed or full of complications, and ideas or agreements are asked to be reconsidered. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on important belongings and documents. I never found my credit card or car keys, items which I lost during two separate Mercury Retrograde periods. Be careful of what you spend your money on during any Mercury Rx phase because you may never use it or you might end up taking it back because it doesn’t work. The store shelves and car lots are full of “not so great deals” during this phase. Anything that is communication or transportation related may cause you problems such as computers, phones, gossip, fax machines, vehicles, or shopping over the internet.

You can’t put your life on hold during Mercury Retrograde, but you should concentrate on the things that are going on in your life now. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, research, reflect, and re-evaluate.

For Scorpio, this Mercury retrograde can add confusion to your friendships or it could bring an old friend back from the past. This retrograde may find you re-evaluating your friendships or the groups you are affiliated with. If you’re not growing, you may decide on a different path now. This will be a good time to reflect on your goals.

Venus transits your 10th house of career, status, and reputation through Sept. 20. Praise, career rewards, contracts, and financial benefits could come to you as Venus dances through this sector. Sept. 11 Venus will be at a hard angle to Jupiter, so be careful that you don’t expect too much at work or from employers, or that you don’t indulge in socializing at work because this could prohibit career growth. Venus is the planet of beauty and comfort, so she’s not happy at work.

You don’t have to be employed outside of your home for this transit to bring benefits. Your reputation and your personal achievements could receive special recognition. There is the possibility of flirting or dating someone at work. Use good judgment and make sure you are within the guidelines of company policy.

Mars transits your 9th house of education, legal issues, long distance travel, publishing, and foreign relations through Oct. 15. Mars gives you the energy and determination to meet these matters head on, and it could throw a surprise element into these affairs. Contact with people far from your home-base may keep you busy, whether it is by phone or via the Internet.

Friendships, groups, in-laws, and your ambitions are further emphasized at the new moon Sept. 18 falling in your 11th house. The new moon will open a two week window of opportunity to begin anew, although the first week is most favorable. If your birthday falls near Nov. 18, you will notice the energy of the new moon more than others.

You may begin working with a group, joining an organization or club, attending a social event, or you could make a new friend. If you need assistance, call on your friends because someone will be helpful. Venus glides into your 11th house on Sept. 20 adding to your social calendar and helping you to appreciate the beauty in relationships. Contacts and new acquaintances will be generous and warm towards you as this is the kind of energy you will radiate.

September will be a memorable month for many signs, mostly because of unstable planetary patterns. The majority of heavy hitter aspects come into play around midmonth. Saturn will be nearing an exact opposition to Uranus which manifests Sept. 15. This aspect can result in sudden breaks or the need to break free of limiting circumstances.

Venus opposes Neptune on Sept. 15 which may result in having unrealistic expectations in a relationship. Someone may have a hidden agenda or there could be disappointments. No relationship should begin under this aspect if you want something lasting. Use this energy to help someone less fortunate or visit someone you know that needs cheering up.

On Sept. 17 the Sun will oppose Uranus, the planet of sudden unexpected events and breakthroughs. Accidents, irritability, tension, restlessness, impatience, and radical change are a few keywords you should know if you are influenced by this aspect. The sun opposes Uranus every year.

On the new moon Sept. 18, Mars, stationed at 15° Cancer, will trigger events related to the July 7 lunar eclipse at 15° Capricorn. Mars is used as a timer in astrology; I usually mention this at eclipse time and give you dates to expect eclipse activity to unfold. Mars has reached the exact degree of opposition to the July 7 eclipse, therefore some of you may be dealing with the results of that eclipse now.

Still active at the wake of the Sept. 18 new moon, these aspects remain volatile through Sept. 25 when the moon meets up with Pluto at a highly sensitive degree in Capricorn. The earliest born in the signs of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries will be influenced most by this conjunction. Dependant on your birth chart, other signs may also experience intense emotional changes or the feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Home, family, and/or finances may demand your attention. Possessiveness, jealousy, and power struggles, sometimes due to emotional manipulations, can result.

That said, powerful planetary patterns as we have now are often the driving force behind major breakthroughs. Lessons will be learned (some the hard way), progress will be made (through sheer will and determination) and barriers will be broken (with extra effort and hard work). At the end of the day you may be thanking the Universe for the aspects that propelled you through a month like September.

The Sun enters your 12 house Sept. 22. The weeks leading up to your birthday will encourage you to get more rest, to meditate, or to spend time alone. You have just come full circle through the zodiac and focused on every area in your life over the last year. Soon the sun will enter your sign, spotlighting your personality, self improvement, and your creative energies.

Have a wonderful and productive month!

Dear Friend of Astrology,

Would you please take a moment of your time and visit the American Federation of Astrologers and consider becoming an AFA member? The dues are annual and very reasonable, which you might find surprising. You do not have to be a professional astrologer to enjoy the benefits of the AFA. International members are Welcome!

Established in 1938, the American Federation of Astrologers is the oldest association in the United States which oversees accreditation of astrologers, sponsors scientific astrology research, and publishes more astrological books than anyone else in the United States. The AFA is a worldwide organization of more than 3,500 professional astrologers and astrological laypersons representing all 50 states and 56 countries around the globe.

Benefits of AFA Membership

* Today's Astrologer - A monthly publication featuring articles, research reports, and information about astrological organizations and activities.

* Special "New Member Discount"

* Referral to practicing and accredited astrologers.

* Educational resources for learning astrology.

* Accreditation examinations

* Convention discounts

As an astrologer and a member of the AFA, it is important to me that the latest research, news, and course offerings continue to reach the public. If it were not for so many dedicated people working to keep astrology alive, it would fade away. Postage, advertising, and manpower require funding, which is made possible through membership.

Please visit the AFA website and when you sign up, let them know that you are a friend from Horoscopes Within. You can add a note in the FAX number box - this will let the AFA know how you found them. Horoscopes Within or myself will not receive any credit or benefits for your membership. I am merely one member reaching out to you through this website. Thank you for your consideration.

Best wishes, Cornelia Jones
