September 2010 Monthly Horoscope Forecast

September will be a social and active month for you, Scorpio. The sun transits your 11th house and puts your friendships, groups, in-laws, and/or your goals in the spotlight.
The new moon Sept. 8 also falls in this collective area of your chart. Scorpio’s born within 5 days of Nov. 8 will notice this fresh energy most. You have 2 weeks of new developments; however, the first week following the new moon is the most favorable for making progress. This month your friends, volunteer work, charities or extended family play an active role in your circumstances. It’s an excellent time for networking or advertising yourself. You might make a new friend, although with Mercury Retrograde, an old friend, co-worker, or client may come back into your life. You may receive an achievement award or you could be recognized for your talents. If you have an important goal in mind, the first part of the month is excellent for making advances.
The weeks following this new moon may result in a celebration within your family. You may be preparing for a family event or a party. You may be planning a trip with a friend. You might assist someone with a publishing or legal matter. You may want to volunteer to help a local charity. Perhaps friends far from home will come to you. Whatever you do now may help to build your self confidence, but it may add to your expenses.
Mercury retrogrades August 20—Sept. 12. Mercury slows its orbit during this phase so you may notice some confusion. This Mercury retrograde makes no stressful aspects to planets in your solar chart which may be favorable for you. That being said, you could experience some aggravation during this time.
Mercury governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You can expect these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation may be delayed or complicated, and ideas are asked to be reconsidered. Make yourself clear, read the fine print and do what you can to avoid miscommunication. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on your valuables and important documents. I’ve lost a credit card during Mercury retrograde and my car keys during another retrograde! This is not a time to make important or expensive purchases. You may not use them or they may be flawed. The store shelves may be full of “not so great deals” now. Computers, phones, mail, fax machines, transportation and/or appliances may be annoying or fail to perform properly.
The weeks of Mercury retrograde might cause delays or obstacles, but it’s the best time for increasing your knowledge and bringing important details to your attention, which could be problematic at a later date.
This is not a time to sign papers or make verbal agreements, unless this is something you’ve already had in the works. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, re-do, renew, research and re-evaluate. Allow a few days after Mercury turns direct before you proceed with any new ideas, major purchases, contracts or important decisions.
Venus transits your 12 house until Sept. 8. Friends, extended family, or co-workers may look to you for guidance. You may be more sensitive to minor upsets now or deeply affected by the suffering of others. Mars is also transiting this hidden part of your chart which can cause you to worry or feel as though no one understands your troubles. The best use of this transit is to help someone confined to home or hospital, to work alone or to research. In addition, this is an excellent time for greater spiritual awareness, improved psychic perceptions, mediation, or hypnosis.
On Sept. 8, Venus enters your sign, Scorpio! Venus will retrograde in October; as a result Venus will spend the rest of the year in your sign. When Venus retrogrades your relationships will be re-evaluated. If you meet someone this month, you may change your mind about them before the end of the year. Making commitments is not recommended under a weak Venus, therefore contracts can be made now and formal celebrations should be scheduled when Venus is direct.
This months Venus transit will help all of your relationships because people are more agreeable and willing to compromise. You radiate peace and harmony and this is the type of energy and relationships you will attract. Your life may be filled with romance and entertaining activities. Venus in your sign may help your finances as well. Creditors may be willing to loan you money or someone may in the gift-giving spirit with you. Your tastes may be more extravagant in September. This might include rich food, designer clothing or leisure activities.
This is also the best time to update your wardrobe or try something which improves on your appearance. With Mercury retrograde, be certain your stylist is clear about your expectations. Mercury retrograde can result in misunderstandings!
Mars also enters your sign on September 14. This may be an intense transit for you Scorpio. Use the energy of sensitive and loving Venus to get what you want and avoid conflicts. Be patient with family and partners. You may have more energy now and you’ll surely get any hard work accomplished. You’ll benefit by having an exercise regime and Mars will help you stick to your plan. If you are a competitive type, you could have the winning edge! Health-wise, you may be accident prone this month or you might have migraine headaches. When I had Mars transiting my sign I cut myself three times in one week and bumped myself several times which resulted in bruises.
Pluto moves forward in your 3rd house of siblings and relatives, communications, local travel and transportation Sept. 13—April 2011. This means that early Scorpio with birthdays before Oct. 29 will be feeling Pluto’s transformative energy in the months ahead.
If your birthday falls after Oct. 29, you will be influenced most beginning Jan. 2011. However, that’s not to say you won’t be experiencing this heavy hitter planet now or in the coming months. You may have planets in the other cardinal signs of your chart that will receive Pluto’s energy. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. All of these signs are known as self-starters of the zodiac.
Your communications style may be remarkable different after you experience Pluto’s transit. If you are not one to voice your feelings or opinions, your communication style may be radically different. Your ideas might change. You may defend your beliefs or something could happen which transforms them. Issues you’ve tolerated in the past or swept under the rug may no longer be sufficient for you. You may question your experiences which will help you to gain a better understanding of yourself and your inner nature. Local travel or modes of transportation may differ quite a lot compared to what you are familiar with now. You will be deeply influenced by your environment, your relatives, and/or siblings. Your lifestyle or neighborhood may change. Metaphysics, Near Death Experiences, archaeology, criminal investigation, or alternative forms of healing may appeal to you.
The sun enters your 12th house of secrets, isolation, rest, and spirituality on Sept. 22. The next four weeks will allow you time to relax and recuperate. It’s an important period for mental health and well being. It may be time to have a medical exam or find a new healthcare provider. It is an excellent transit for research, working alone, meditation, or visiting someone who is ill or in the hospital.
The full moon Sept. 23 calls your attention to your 6th house of health, pets, employment, and daily routines. If your birthday falls within 5 days of Oct. 24, you will be influenced more than others in your sign. This full moon may finalize and employment matter. You could be promoted or offered a position which could result in the need to act quickly. Be careful that you don’t act on impulse because Jupiter (ruling your income) is retrograde so opportunities may not hold financial promise. Alternatively, someone, if not yourself, may be leaving your current place of employment. For some Scorpios the full moon may regard a health matter. This could be for you, a family member or spouse, or might concern a furry companion. The energy and activity subsides within three days following the full moon.
